What is windsor protocol?

The Windsor protocol is a network protocol used for managing and configuring access points and Wi-Fi networks. It was developed by Aruba Networks, which is now part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The protocol uses Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) for communication between access points and the central management system.

The Windsor protocol allows network administrators to manage Wi-Fi networks more efficiently by providing a platform to configure and monitor access points in real-time. It enables administrators to control the performance, security and availability of the network from a centralized location.

The protocol supports many features like rogue detection, load balancing, coverage hole detection, and dynamic channel allocation. It also supports guest access, quality of service (QoS) features and captive portal authentication.

The Windsor protocol is widely used by many enterprises, educational institutions and service providers for managing Wi-Fi networks. Additionally, it is compatible with other network protocols, such as RADIUS, DHCP, and DNS.
